Compared with the colloid mill, the inline emulsification pump has similarities in its working principle, but there is still a big difference in the application range of the stator and rotor gap in the effect on the material.
1. The rotor-stator gap of the pipeline type emulsion pump is the same, while the rotor-stator gap of the colloid mill can be adjusted. If the gap is large, the flow rate will be fast and the efficiency will be high. If the gap is small, the flow rate will be slow and the efficiency will be low.
2. In terms of working principle, the pipeline type emulsification pump is mainly based on shearing and supplemented by friction extrusion, while the colloid mill is mainly based on friction extrusion and supplemented by shearing.
3. From the working plate, the pipeline type emulsion pump is divided into single-stage, three-stage and multi-stage. There can be three-layer working plate (stator and rotor) for multiple shearing, while the colloid mill is a single-layer working plate, which has less shearing times. Circulation pipes can be installed on both the colloid mill and the emulsification pump to process materials in a circular grinding manner.
4. In terms of application range, the pipeline emulsification pump can pulverize the granular colloidal soft liquid, while the colloid mill is more difficult to emulsify the colloidal soft liquid.
